Six years ago, I left my career of 25 years on a mission to support kids in our community who have experienced trauma, are experiencing housing instability, or are living in low-income circumstances. Over the years, I've learned a lot and found that the needs are more significant than I ever imagined.

As a former foster child myself, I understand what it feels like to be a child that isn't able to have a "normal" childhood experience. I also know that in some cases, where being forced into circumastances outside your control as a child is unfair, kids that come from challenging backgrounds, have super powers others aren't given.
